Yin Yoga Teacher Training

Module I – 50 hours:

This teacher training will provide you with fundamental tools to teach yin yoga to students of different ages, yoga experience and physical abilities. Two years of yoga practice and a basic knowledge of anatomy are ideal before taking this training.

Besides the theory of yin yoga, anatomy and skeletal variation tests, meditation practices are an essential part of the training. When teaching yoga we must be aware not only to each student physical abilities/ limitations, but also to its ability to introspect and observe the responses of the body and mind.

What is covered on module I:

  • – Yin Yang Theory, plasticity/ elasticity, tension/ compression.
  • – Yin Yoga asanas.
  • – 14 skeletal segments, 10 myofascial groups and 7 archetypal postures.
  • – Contemplative practices.
  • – Methodology and Bhāva for classes.
  • – Ethics and responsibilities as teachers.


Typical daily schedule:
09:00 – 09:30am – meditation
09:30 – 10:45am – theory
11:00 – 12:00pm – practice
02:00 – 04:00pm – asanas, anatomy and skeletal variation tests
04:30 – 06:00pm – practice

To receive the certificate at the end of the training, the student must attend 90% of contact hours and complete all non-contact hours assignments throughout the training. This teacher training is registered with Yoga Alliance as a continuing education provider for 50hours.
